Tupelo’s dominant 3rd quarter defeats Brandon

Brandon lead Tupelo 7 to 2 coming out of halftime.  Despite having the lead, Bulldog fans know that there were missed opportunities to have an even bigger lead.  Tupelo, the reigning defending 7A champions were without their starting quarterback, Braylen Williams.  Dandy Dozen running back, Jaeden Hill, played quarterback for Tupelo.  His replacement at running back, Kylan Bobo had a great night.  Bobo finished 2 yards short of 200 yards rushing on 19 rushing attempts.  He also scored 3 touchdowns.

Tupelo used a 27 point third quarter to seize control of the game.  Brandon muffed a punt, giving Tupelo good field position and they took advantage of it.  Running back, Kylan Bobo scored his first of three touchdowns on the ensuing drive.  Momentum shift.  Tupelo’s defense joined the party.  The Golden wave intercepted Brandon’s Quarterback, Sladen Shack twice, returning both for touchdowns.  He was under pressure most of the game.  Shack completed 8 of 16 passes for 125 yards.  Running back Tyson Robinson gained 74 yards on 12 carries.  Next week Brandon travels to Madison Central while Tupelo travels to Christ Presbyterian Academy.
