Jackson State football will once again have a major spotlight during the 2026 season.
The Tigers are scheduled to appear on SWAC TV four times and will also be featured across ESPN’s family of networks in five games, giving Tiger Nation several opportunities to watch one of HBCU football’s biggest brands on a national stage.
Jackson State’s first SWAC TV appearance is set for September 19 in the W.C. Gorden Classic against Tuskegee at Mississippi Veterans Memorial Stadium. The Tigers will then head to Mobile for the Gulf Coast Challenge against Alabama A&M on October 3 before traveling to Grambling State the following week.
The visibility continues with key late-season matchups, including Jackson State’s November 14 contest at Alabama State and the regular-season finale at Alcorn State on November 21.
The ESPN schedule includes several of the Tigers’ biggest home dates, beginning with the September 26 SWAC opener against Southern at The Vet. Jackson State’s October 17 homecoming game against Florida A&M is also set to receive network exposure, putting two of the conference’s most recognizable programs in front of a larger audience.
For head coach T.C. Taylor and the Tigers, the television schedule is another reminder of the expectations surrounding the program. Every matchup carries weight, but the games selected for broadcast bring an added level of attention for the players, coaches, school, and Tiger fans across the country.
Jackson State football is not just preparing for another season. The Tigers are preparing to perform on some of the biggest stages in HBCU sports.
