USM’s Grayden Harris Heads to Taiwan with Team USA

Southern Miss pitching continues to earn national recognition. Right-hander Grayden Harris has been
officially named to the 2026 USA Baseball Collegiate National Team’s 28-man roster and will compete in
the World Collegiate Baseball Championship in Taiwan later this week. Harris joins fellow USM starters
Camden Clark and Camden Sunstrom, who also trained alongside him at CNT camp — a strong showing
for a Golden Eagles pitching staff that head coach Christian Ostrander has worked hard to keep intact
through the transfer portal.

That pitching depth is part of a bigger picture for USM baseball this offseason: the program posted what’s being described as a “perfect” transfer portal cycle, retaining its top returning contributors while adding immediate-impact transfers at multiple positions, and bringing in one of the most talented freshman classes in program history.
