Summer Work, Fall Dreams: Mississippi High School Athletes Put in the Work Before the Lights Come On
As summer settles across Mississippi, high school sports are far from taking a break.
While Friday night lights, packed gyms, and championship moments may still be weeks away, athletes across the state are already putting in the work. From early-morning weight room sessions to football 7-on-7 events, basketball camps, speed training, and team workouts, the foundation for the upcoming season is being built right now.
For public and private school programs alike, summer is where leadership begins to show.
