Ridgeland shuts out Provine 35 to 0 on the road

The Titans got rolling behind Jeremeih Tillman, who bulldozed his way to 102 yards and a touchdown on just 11 carries, more than enough to carry the offense on a night the Provine defense had no answers. Ridgeland scored in every quarter, 8 in the first, 8 in the second, 13 in the third, and 6 more in the fourth, piling points on steadily instead of in one big burst.

Provine’s night never got off the ground consistently. There were flashes, but ultimately, the team fell short. QB Bryson Burns went 6 of 15 through the air for 73 yards and tossed an interception, with Brandon Goss doing what he could underneath, hauling in 4 catches for 42 yards. Not much else to speak of for the Rams offense, and the defense couldn’t slow down Tillman and this Ridgeland front all night.

Tillman was named the Titans’ offensive player of the game, and Javier Brotherns took home defensive honors after a strong night up front. Ridgeland improves to 1 and 1 on the young season, while Provine drops to 0 and 2.

Ridgeland stays home for homecoming, welcoming Vicksburg to town on Friday, September 11th, while Provine heads down to McComb that same night to take on a Tigers squad that’s off to a 2 and 0 start.
